The Império do Espírito Santo das Doze Ribeiras, located in the Church Square of the parish, dates back to the 17th century but was reconstructed in masonry in the 19th century, inaugurated in 1891. The building was relocated twice, the last time in 1980 after the earthquake of 1980. The worship of the Holy Spirit is celebrated on the eight Sundays after Easter, with emphasis on the Sundays of the Bodo – Pentecost and Trinity. The festivities include the blessing of offerings, processions to the parish church with the local philharmonic, solemn coronation mass, blessing of bread and wine, festival with snacks and drinks, and auctions.
