The Império do Porto Judeu de Baixo, also known as the Imério do Terreiro, was built in 1916 and is located in the parish of Porto Judeu, in Angra do Heroísmo. The original statutes are not known as they may have disappeared, but the empire has a pantry and a support house. The festivities in honor of the Holy Spirit occur on Pentecost and Trinity Sundays, with religious and cultural events. Processions to the parish church are followed by festive masses with coronations. After the distribution of bread and wine, there is a meal with Holy Spirit soups and other delicacies. In the afternoon, there are philharmonic concerts, a fair, and activities such as bazaars and challenge songs. The festivities end with auctions of offerings and, if possible, a bullfight in the parish.
