The Império do Espírito Santo da Grota do Medo, in the parish of Posto Santo, municipality of Angra do Heroísmo, was built in 1960. It celebrates the cult of the Divine Holy Spirit in July, usually in the third week. The festivities include a procession accompanied by a philharmonic band to the parish church, festive mass, and coronation. After the liturgy, the procession returns to the empire. In the late afternoon, the spheres for the next year are drawn. On Monday, a bullfight takes place in this location.
