The Império do Espírito Santo da Rua Serpa Pinto, also known as the Empire of the Holy Spirit of Rua do Rego, is located in the parish of Santa Cruz, Praia da Vitória. Built in 2009 by the City Council, it celebrates the feast of the Divine Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday. Formerly known as the “Empire of the Nobles”, during the celebration, there is a procession to the Mother Church of Santa Cruz, followed by a mass and coronations. After the liturgy, bread, wine, and sweet bread are distributed to those present. At the end, the positions for the next year are drawn.
