The Império da Vila das Lajes, built in 1916, is a festive space founded by thirty-seven Lajes residents. Located in the Largo da Igreja of the parish of Lajes, in the municipality of Praia da Vitória, this empire opens its doors mainly on Pentecost and Trinity Sundays. The building has a facade with a door and two windows, adorned with iron railings. Inside, there is an altar and two tables, one under the responsibility of the Empire Committee and the other of the emperor, where traditional snacks and drinks are served. The empire has a pantry to store wine, bread, and other items.
