The Império do Espírito Santo de São João de Deus, located in the parish of Santa Luzia, municipality of Angra do Heroísmo, was built in 1887. This centennial building celebrates the cult of the Holy Spirit on Trinity Sunday. The festivities include religious activities such as the recitation of the rosary and the festive mass, and cultural activities such as the Pezinho, the Ceia dos Criadores, the Bodo de Leite, and musical performances. The festivities begin the previous Sunday with the transfer of the crown and end on the Monday following Trinity Sunday with a rope bullfight.
