Pico Matias Simão is a volcanic elevation located in the parish of Altares, on Terceira Island, Azores. Situated in the northwestern part of the island, it rises 153 meters above sea level and is associated with the Serra de Santa Bárbara Volcano. Marine erosion has created a vertical cliff up to 153 meters high, with a pattern at the top called Cruzeiro, evocative of the Restoration of Independence, inaugurated in 1940. It offers panoramic views of the sea from its summit.
